Pre Owned Maintenance Records

Maintenance for drier hotter states like Nevada.
Geographic locations have different effects on used cars. Here are 5 maintenance tips for used cars in semi desert climates.
Clean your Car
During the summer months one of the best things that you can do for your car is to clean it regularly. Taking your car to a professional cleaning place once a week, or doing a thorough cleaning yourself is a great way to extend the life of the body of your vehicle.
Check Brakes Often
Your brake pads are the only thing that keeps you from running into the other cars in front of you. Unfortunately stopping any of the used cars in Reno creates a huge amount of friction and that friction breaks down your brake pads pretty quickly. By checking to make sure that you have a decent amount of brake pad left you can prevent any possible accidents. The health of your pads becomes even more important during hotter weather.
Change the Oil
If you want your engine to continue to run strong you have to change the oil regularly. Over time oil picks up particles from the engine and it becomes dirty. In order for the oil to continue to function well consistently you need to put fresh oil in your vehicle at least every 5000 miles. This will help take out all of those bad particles while keeping your engine going strong.

Check Your Belts
Without the timing belt your vehicle would not be able to run. Over time that belt will wear out and it is very important that you replace it before it wears out completely or you will be stuck with a vehicle that doesn't want to go anywhere. Check on the belts every 25,000 miles or pay a professional to take a look at them for you. Typically it is good practice to change those belts every 50,000 miles if you want the vehicle to keep running strong.
